Jayleen (Personal Trainer, Zumba®, Pilates, Bellyfit®, Turbo Kick®, PiYo®, Tush 'n' Abs)

Jayleen's interest in fitness began at the age of 16 when she used to sweat along to Tony Little and Claudia Schiffer workout videos before school every morning. But it wasn't until 2006 that she decided to make fitness her career, leaving her university enginerding program for a personal training position with a local gym.
Her love of learning keeps her constantly looking for new challenges and fun new classes to bring to the MissFit masses. Jayleen was among the very first group of canadian Zumba Fitness instructors and has since added Zumba Toning, Zumba Sentao, Zumbatomic, Gymstick, Bellyfit, Turbo Kick and Pilates to her training/group ex repertoire. She also shares her love of fitness internationally as a Bellyfit Master Trainer!

AmandaAmanda (Hip Hop Hustle®, Pole Fitness, Bellyfit®, PiYo®, Tush 'n' Abs)

Amanda has always been passionate about dance and was in competitive dance from an early age!  She taught ballet and jazz throughout her teenage years and continued with Hip Hop at McGill University as one of the choreographers  for The McGill Dance Pack.  Once she graduated she happened upon Capital Missfits and fell in love with the classes and studio.  Becoming a Hip Hop Hustle instructor seemed like a natural progression once the idea fell into her lap!  Come try out the fun, high cardio class – no dance background required!

In 2010, she became certified in Zumba fitness and created her own business offering Zumba classes in gyms, schools, birthday parties, sparks/brownies and different communities in the Kamloops, BC area. From there, Brittany knew she wanted to make a difference in many peoples lives so she pursued becoming a BCRPA personal trainer (Canfit Pro trainer) and now she's back in Ottawa teaching several types of Zumba and group fitness classes.

SarahSarah (Pole Fitness)

Sarah is a married mother of 3 children. She jumped into Pole Fitness almost 3 years ago after a 50lb weight loss left her feeling a need to tone her neglected muscles. She came into poledancing with no previous dance or gymnastic background and progressed with hard work and determination. Her gains in both strength and flexibility however come second to her increase in self-awareness and self-confidence.
Sarah feels a passion for the art of poledancing which brought her to Capital Missfits, first as a student. Her love of helping fellow students and friends is what prompted her desire to teach.

Sarah is PFIC certified and has performed twice at the Toronto Pole Dance Fitness Showcase.

ChelseaChelsea (Pole Fitness)

Chelsea is the mother of two very active young boys.  They are also the two main reasons she felt the need to stay active and in shape.
Chelsea was also a very active child, always walking on the monkey bars, climbing her swing set, hanging off any bars she could find, all with the objective to have fun.  She never thought that one day she would be teaching a pole fitness class, having just as much fun as she did when she was a kid.
Pole Fitness has given her a high level of confidence, self esteem, positive self image, strength, flexibility, and the ability to help others achieve the same kind of self satisfaction that they are searching for.

Christine (Pole Fitness)

Christine has been dancing for over 20 years with a background in ballet, jazz, salsa, hip hop, belly dance and pole fitness. She is a certified instructor with PFIC and loves the ongoing challenge of leaning new pole tricks. The focus of her classes is taking the spins and tricks you know and putting them into routines while learning some new moves along the way!
